| In 1995 lots of hard work on the part of Doug Malcolm and Kieran Brady saw the club acquire a grant for £50,000 from the Sports Council via the National Lottery Grant Commission. Doug and Kieran appeared on the National Lottery TV show on Saturday evening, and the club was awarded the money to buy a 3rd aircraft. Britten Norman Islander G-LOTO was purchased and the club had doubled its lift capacity. The pictures here show the aircraft arriving at Strathallan for the first time, escorted by the Cessna 206's from Cumbernauld. Those that were there will remember this moment was accompanied by the "March on the Valkryie" on the tannoy!! |
